We are frequently asked what the technical requirements for using HEROS are. Below are answers to questions concerning servers and access

Q: What type of servers can HEROS be run on?

A: HEROS can be run on either a Windows or a Linux server. One HEROS user also runs a development server on a Macbook Pro. The minimum server specification is 1GB hard drive, 8GB RAM.

Q: Shared, VPS or in-house?

A: Some users keep the server in-house behind a firewall; others use a service provider to host aVirtual Private Server (VPS) or dedicated server. Renting shared server space is not recommended.

Q: How is HEROS accessed from the server?

A: Users can access HEROS with any device that can run a Firefox, Chrome, Edge or Safari web browser.
